Owner Adele is located in British Columbia's beautiful Fraser Valley and has been raising, learning and sharing her passion about the wonderful indigenous (native) butterflies here in Canada since 1997.
Her sister Darcee is interested in learning about the business of raising butterflies and so is technically "butterfly-babe-in-training".
Adele is proud to be one of the founding members of the Canadian Butterfly Breeders & Exhibitors Association and current association vice-president.

Code of Ethics
Butterfly BC belongs to the Canadian Butterfly Breeders & Exhibitors Association and adheres to a code of ethics:
  • No shipment of butterflies from the wild, hand-reared butterflies only
  • We ship only where International, Federal, State & Provincial regulations & permits allow
  • When shipping for environmental release, ship only when weather conditions allow for butterfly survival
  • Ship only healthy, vigorous butterflies
  • Ship in containers with packaging that best protects the well being & safety of the butterflies
  • Supply all pertinent information & instructions appropriate to insure the well being & safety of the butterflies
